Company History & Philosophy
Creative Benefit Strategies, Inc. specializes in retirement plan design, consulting, actuarial, and administrative services. CBS has enjoyed a solid reputation over the years and is committed to maintaining its tradition of excellence.
Our staff professionals have the expertise to handle all aspects of plan consulting, design and administration. Currently our client base consists of all types of qualified plans. Our national recognition has given us vast exposure to many different business climates and professional advisors across the country. This, coupled with our broad experience within the retirement benefits field, enables us to provide you with creative and flexible alternatives as your objectives change. In addition, our actuaries are licensed to practice on your behalf before the Internal Revenue Service should there ever be a need.
Our personnel are specialists in the retirement plan arena. We stress the importance to our professionals of continuing their education in this industry. This is accomplished by encouraging them to take courses sponsored by the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA). Completion of these courses and related tests bestows upon them several designations, including QKA (Qualified 401(k) Administrator), QPA (Qualified Pension Administrator), CPC (Certified Pension Consultant), and several Enrolled Actuary designations.
We are cognizant of the importance of keeping close tabs on proposed law changes in Congress. We monitor this in many ways. We subscribe to numerous periodicals and bulletins relative to the employee benefits field. To ensure that our staff is always up-to-date with the ever-changing regulations, we hold weekly in-house education and training meetings. We are electronically linked to several national bulletin boards. This allows us, in a matter of minutes, to communicate with many other industry professionals throughout the country. We have found this service invaluable when dealing with unique situations that may arise for which there are no clear answers in the regulations.
We take a proactive approach and as new laws are enacted and regulations are promulgated, we attempt to give each of our clients an overview of how these changes will affect their plans. We accomplish this mainly through our web site, our newsletters and special mailings. Follow up meetings are scheduled as necessary to ensure your plan remains in compliance with the changing laws.
